OK here are some images to give you a sense of a few of our favorite spaces for a ballroom reception in Dallas. We, of course, love weddings in all their various forms but there are a ton of advantages that come with a big ballroom and how it can be transformed into whatever vision you have for your wedding.
The Adolphus Hotel –
A beautiful historic hotel right in the heart of downtown Dallas. They actually have two ballrooms- the first one which faces the front of the hotel and has the iconic painted ceiling and amazing chandeliers. The second ballroom at the back of the hotel has a more square layout and room for some very large parties.
Arlington Hall –
Just North of uptown nestled right next to Turtle Creek this is a timeless historic space that has hosted some of the most elegant and fun weddings we’ve ever photographed. Ideal for those who might want some indoor and outdoor room and/or love the idea of a tent.
Four Seasons Hotel (Las Colinas) –
In my mind, if you’re having a big wedding reception, the Four Seasons might as well be at the top of your list. This amazing property is perfect logistically for a big wedding and the ballroom has been transformed for many spectacular events.
Dallas Country Club –
Right in the middle of Highland Park this venue is so centrally located it’s perfect for many of the weddings we do in the Park Cities areas. The room is big enough for larger weddings and bands.
Belo Mansion –
Located in the arts district of downtown this has to be one of the most well known and loved venues of the city. There is a historic mansion on one side with it’s own ballroom but most use the newer pavilion side where they have tons of space and even a good amount of natural light pouring in from the corridors.
Room on Main – If you like historic hardwood floors and huge picture windows with views of the city… this is your dream location. We love this big, bright and airy room where there is plenty of space for a big dance floor and the band.
Hotel Cresent – We love the vibe of this hotel- the rooms are gorgeous as is the garden. As a photographer probably what I love most about The Cresent is being able to get outside and shoot with all the gorgeous architecture in the covered walkways, garden, and facade of the hotel.
Brookhollow Country Club – Brookhollow is a perfect location for a wedding reception, easy valet parking, a big beautiful room with historic appointments and even a rounded out alcove surrounded by windows for the cake.
Lakewood Country Club – If you’re getting married anywhere near downtown Dallas, Park cities or even at the gorgeous St. Thomas Aquinas this country club is a beautiful and convenient hop-skip-and a jump from your wedding ceremony. The room can easily hold a large group and there’s still room for the band.
The Ritz Carlton – The name says it all, a perfect downtown location for any wedding. What we love the most? Well first the location can’t be beaten but logistically we just love the second valet just for your guests to make getting around much easier.
