ABOUT US

Here’s the heart of what we know about great wedding photography -

We’re a husband and wife team ( Joseph & Stephanie) and we’ve photographed together now for more than 15 years, closing in on 1000 weddings, and we honestly love our job as wedding photographers. All of that experience has lead us to a point where the experience we have with you, your friends and family will feel easy and seamless, the most common thing we hear is our couples love how calm and confident they feel with us because they know the the day is running smooth and looks beautiful. My background (Joe) is in photojournalism - While I’ve photographed rock bands, presidential candidates, college sports, I’ve loved weddings the most. My goal is to author portraits with personality that have been created to highlight the light location and personalities of your day - in other words one of a kind photographs never to be repeated. And documentary images that really help you remember and tell stories about what happened on your wedding day. 90% of what we do doesn’t come from a list, it comes from the beauty of real life, the other 10% - family photos that are important but shouldn’t stress you out or take all day.

Stephanie came into the business from the real estate world where she was also a photographer and photo editor. What she brings to the table beyond being behind the camera is the organization and attention to detail it takes to make sure your experience is smooth from start to finish. She’s the queen of lists and getting family portraits done easily and correctly and making sure all of your wedding details are recorded. Honestly I would never want to do this job without her now.

  • Film photography, 35mm all the way to 4x5

  • Technology, especially related to image making

  • Travel photography, especially national parks. Stephanie and I love traveling and have been to about 40 of our N.P.s and we'll see them all before we're done (Anyone getting married in a national park? It would be a bucket list deal for me and I'll make worth your while!)

  • Almost anything when it comes to the art and history of photography, I also love teaching others both the art and science of making images.
